IHG Launches New Luxury Vignette Collection in Noonu Atoll, Maldives

IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to make a significant impact in the Maldives with the introduction of its Vignette Collection to Noonu Atoll. This exciting development is the result of a strategic partnership with Roxy-Pacific Holdings Pte Ltd, a prominent player in real estate and hospitality in the Asia Pacific region. The collaboration will see Noku Maldives, a 50-key private villa resort located on the tranquil island of Kudafunafaru, transformed into Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection.

Scheduled to launch in December 2024 after a comprehensive refurbishment, the resort promises an elevated luxury experience under IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio. This new addition marks IHG’s fifth property in the Maldives, joining the ranks of Six Senses, InterContinental, and Holiday Inn, each offering unique experiences that cater to a wide array of travelers. The Vignette Collection brand is known for its unique identity, combining luxury with a commitment to sustainability and community engagement—qualities that align perfectly with the Maldives’ goals of becoming a leading sustainable tourism destination.

Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection is conveniently located a 45-minute seaplane ride from Male International Airport or a 40-minute flight to Maafaru Domestic Airport, followed by a 15-minute speed boat ride to the island. With a land area of almost 90,000 square meters, the resort features 30 overwater villas and 20 beachfront villas, most of which come with a private pool.

The property boasts some of the largest villas in the Maldives, with the smallest villa measuring 175 square meters. This makes it the perfect destination for couples, friends, and families looking to enjoy unforgettable stays in a luxurious setting. The facilities at Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection include two restaurants and bars, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a spa, a retail outlet, and a diving and watersports center offering access to a rich diversity of marine life, including grey reef sharks, stingrays, and sea turtles.

IHG launched the Vignette Collection in August 2021 to offer a different price point to the upscale conversion brand voco and complement its existing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio. The brand has quickly grown globally to include 18 open hotels, such as Convent Square Lisbon in Portugal, The Halyard Liverpool in the UK, Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok in Thailand, and Dinso Resort & Villas Phuket in Thailand, among others.

In conclusion, the introduction of Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection to Noonu Atoll is set to elevate the luxury hospitality scene in the Maldives. With its commitment to sustainability, unique identity, and luxurious offerings, this new addition to IHG’s portfolio promises to provide guests with an unforgettable and enriching experience in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
